My Buddy was blown away at my ability...

"My Buddy was blown away at my ability to ski black diamonds and ski with him on the bump runs this year! Three things really made a difference in my skiing this year:

  • 1. Using the Virtual Snow ski deck to get in prime condition before my first ski trip in early Dec. I completely avoided the previous years' fatigue and was able to keep up, for the most part, with a much more advanced skier.
  • 2. The ski deck helped me focus on the fundamentals of pressure and edge control in my turns (really trying to work the edges of my skis)
  • 3. I was able to break in the brand new ski boots I bought at Peter Glenn. Skiing in my own boots was such a big bonus this year and breaking them in ahead of time saved me valuable skiing time on the mountain.

Thanks Kim and Virtual Snow Palm Beach!"

Vail Snowboard & Ski Instructor - "The Fog Man"

As a fully certified snowboarding instructor at Vail Resorts (and lifelong skier) I am always looking to upgrade my own skills. In addition to making my time on the mountain more enjoyable Virtual Snow also translates into better experiences for my ski school guests when they visit Colorado.

While the mountain makes a great playground to explore the movements that make skiing and snowboarding challenging and exhilarating at the same time it can be very difficult to make changes of technique 'on the fly' - where speed and steepness of terrain make it difficult to stop and give feedback and instruction. Virtual Snow makes these tasks simple in a safe and controlled manner.

This summer and fall I spent a good bit of time at Virtual Snow Palm Beach and look forward to that very first run of the season on the real stuff...

I DID AWESOME!!

Brett & I had a blast in Breckenridge Colorado and didn't want to leave! Snowboarding went really well - I went on blue's and green's and never really fell when I was riding! The only time I fell was getting off the lift, one day I'll figure that out. The lessons I took with you and Mark at Virtual Snow really helped! I would recommend it to anyone and will be coming back for more.

Thank you for your help and I'm telling everyone about you guys!

Training at Virtual Snow did wonders!

I did awesome this year on the slopes! The training at Virtual Snow PB did wonders for my technique. At the start of my first lesson in Aspen, my instructor was impressed with my form and skill level. By the end of the second day I was doing an easy blue run at Aspen Highlands. The third day we went to Snowmass and I made it to the top of the mountain and slowly worked my way down a few times. I was very impressed with myself throughout this trip. The difference between this year and last was astronomical. I'm very proud of myself and I am positive that without virtual Snow I wouldn't have been skiing my very first day and I probably would have quit by my second.

Thanks a lot for making my trip enjoyable!!!!

Homeschoolers half day at Virtual Snow of Palm Beach

Thanks so much for such a great day at Virtual Snow. All of the kids found your program to be informative, fun and everyone appreciated your appeal to different learning styles.

There was something for everyone - exercise, art, fun and learning. I think you inspired a desire to ski in all of us. All the parents were impressed with your program.

Thanks again!

Kim,

It is with pleasure I write to you to let you know how great it was skiing in both Telluride and Beaver Creek this winter. I would have been a fumbling mess had it not been for your training and my experience at Virtual Snow. When I entered your facility, I didn't even know how to put on a ski boot let alone a ski. I went from never skiing a day in my life to skiing Blues and Blacks within days of being on the slopes. Instructors at the ski resorts were very resistant to the idea that I never skied before in my life but could handle skiing on more than greens by the end of my first day in ski school. I definitely needed ski school for a day as I didn't even know how to ride a ski lift or anything and certainly the snow is different from the carpet. But after that one day, I was ready to roll and by the third day on skis I joined skiers that had skied for years.

In fact, the third day on the slopes I followed a skier friend and she accidently took a blue slope (in Telluride – ungroomed) and of course I didn't notice it as I was entrusting her to take me where I needed to go. After a few falls and guidance from advanced skiers, I went down with good form and without hesitation.

I kept hearing how good my form was which I totally contribute to your instruction and the experience at Virtual Snow. Without that experience and instruction, I would have been days in ski school and feel that I would not have gotten past greens in either trip.

I went into ski school at Beaver Creek and did not like it at all as I like taking the fall line on the slopes and I like speed both of which I was told as a female skier was unique and they wanted me to take wider turns and slow down. Thereafter, I went out with advanced skiers and followed their guidance and that stayed in line with what you taught me at Virtual Snow. I was told by an advance skier that I trust that I was skiing great and he upped me to demo skis which made a huge difference. People still couldn't believe I was skiing blacks with only days of skiing under my belt.

The only thing I will suggest is to remind students to use the whole slope initially as after being on the carpet with limited space, I was conditioned to take quick turns back and forth. It took me a while to figure out how to use more of the mountain and be comfortable with it.

The experience and investment at Virtual Snow is totally worth the time and money.

Sincerely,

Hi Kim,

Where do I begin? We had an AMAZING trip and a FANTASTIC snowboarding experience at Mont Tremblant. All four of us did really, really well and we our so proud of ourselves! From the first lesson on day one, we all felt pretty good on our heel side doing the falling leaf on the beginner slopes. By the end of the first lesson, our 12 year old Jared was up the mountain (no problems on chair lift) and doing turns down intermediate blue trails. By day two, all of us (that is Leslie and I -- both "forty something" first timers, Dylan the 9 year old, and Jared) were riding heel comfortably, toe side fairly comfortably, and turning a bit. On the third day, even Leslie and I were turning -- actually finding it much easier on blue runs than on the flatter green runs -- and the boys were superstars, showing off with 360's! Jared even when down a black run with his instructor on our last day. We had private instructors which was a huge help but there is just no question that the experience with you was so worth it! We all took some nice falls -- Leslie got the most banged up but she is fine -- but it was not nearly the awful experience (in terms of falling and wanting to quit) that we had anticipated. There was never any frustration that caused us to want to stop. We had some difficult time with icy patches and the chair lift was easier for the boys than for Leslie, but again, it was overall a really great time. Some sore muscles -- I thought I was in good shape but my legs were absolutely fried after snowboarding -- but an amazingly positive experience for all of us. Jared's teacher took some video of him riding and we will try to email it to you when we figure out how. We appreciate all of your help and look forward to seeing you next season.

Take care,
Paul Geller.

Hi there!

Just got back on Wednesday and I wanted to thank you for making our snowboarding trip so much more enjoyable this year!

As I mentioned to you in class, I had snowboarded 3 times in the past but there were several years in between each trip so I felt like I was starting from scratch for the first two or three days of each trip (very frustrating). I am so happy I did the three lessons at Virtual Snow, it got me past the initial stages of fear and lack of practice and really improved my confidence level.

Here's how things went –
Day 1: Started on a green run, felt immediately comfortable on the board and had no issues making my large "S" transitions. One more green run – BORING , so we went up to blues. Moved from large "S" transitions to small tight transitions in two runs… board down the mountain…good posture (you would have been so proud). Stayed on Blues the rest of the day. I did take one bad fall at the end of the day which shook me up a bit so we called it a day at that point.

Day 2: Improved again and increased speed and confidence. I was still a little intimidated by the steepest sections so I would revert back to the larger transitions but was incredibly happy with my control and progress.

Day 3-5: By end of day three I really felt like the movements and flow were second nature. I made good progress and confidence on the steepest sections too.

Overall, I feel like I finally made the progression from someone learning (or trying) to snowboard to an actual snowboarder! I can't wait until next year!!!!

Thanks again.
Irene

Hello Kim, I just wanted to say thank you very much for your instructions and patience with Cynthia and I. We had a blast in Park City and with only two lessons with you I got comfortable very quickly, By the forth day I was all over the Blue runs and did two Black Diamond runs. I would love to give a testimonial for your website. Please feel free to contact me. P.S. The offer to teach you some cabinetry work still stands.

Thanks again Rob and Cynthia

What an experience!!! I'm a believer and my 13 year old daughter is next! I first arrived and made the adjustment from carpet to real snow in the morning. I took two one hour lessons over two days on the slopes. My instructor said to my friend we will stay on the greens today then tomorrow "maybe" the blues. In France the color system is Green, Blue, Red, Black. So, after the first 15 to 20 min we were taking the lift to the blues! I reccomend to get one or two one hour lesson for first timers, like me, but hit the snow first. My firends were amazed too. On my first day one very experienced skier, 30+ years, who doesn't give complements easily said "I'm utterly impressed, I've never seen it before in my life". Anyway, by the forth day I was doing solid reds and loving it!!! Now I'm heading to Park City with my daughter, but first she's hitting the Virtual Snow ski deck.

Thanks Virtual Snow of Palm Beach!!

I was skiing right out of the box the same day. Your tips and guidance were extremly helpful and gave me an extra day to enjoy actual skiing! The benefit of being able to test my new boots in a comfortable, safe environment is priceless. Be assured that I will be visiting you again. This time with short sleeves! Have a great day and keep me posted.

Best regards,

Hi Kim, It was great speaking with you this afternoon. Dave did so great out in Tahoe and I will make sure he sends you a testimonial. I will ask Jason to do the same.

I would love to train with you, since my trip to Breckenridge is coming up the first weekend of March.

Hi Kim, We have all been having a great time, unfortunately we have to leave today. This place is fantastic. Liz And Dylan on the first day were the first to go down the green runs together, we couldn't believe it. Liz stayed with the greens and I think she was close to getting on the blues by our last day. She watched some little guys ski backwards and was able to do it on her own. Dylan and I have been doing blues & double blues from the first day on. We didn't have enough courage to do the blacks, maybe next year. Dylan took to the snow board like he was born on it. Ashlyn well she is a different story. We will just call her speed demon! No seriously she had a slow start and took some additional lessons and by the final day was cautiously making her way down the greens. It was a big accomplishment for her and we were all so proud of her.

Thanks for all your help on the ski simulator.

We did enjoy the trip and the skiing and are considering going bak out in the early spring for sme spring skiing but we will see. Next winter for sure. We will be so happy to put our positive testimonial on your website! You and Virtual Snow were great not just from the instructional aspect but also in your knowledge of the are of where we were staying and telling us how to go about setting up rentals and lessons on the mountian was great. You put us ahead of all the other first timers at Keystone and we were so ready.

Speak to you soon.
David, Elise, Cara and Jared.
